Eligibility for commodities varies based on the program:
• For TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program), recipients can be under the age of 60 but their income must be at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. If over 60, income must be at or below 200% of Federal Poverty Guidelines (quarterly distribution).
• For MIC (Mothers, Infants and Children) monthly food distribution, a person/family must not be receiving WIC, the child/children must be under 6 years of age (or mother-to-be is pregnant), and the household income must be at or below 185% Federal Poverty Guidelines (monthly distributions).
• For CSFP (Commodities Supplemental Food Program) monthly food distribution, a person must be 60 years or older and income must be at or below 130% of Federal Poverty Guidelines (monthly distributions).
