Data/Office Assistant
CLASSIFICATION: Regular, full-time (7:30
a.m.-4:30 p.m.)
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the general direction of the Site Coordinator and in accordance with established
policies and procedures, performs a variety of clerical
and office tasks and projects, as well as direct
responsibility for data entry and processing of Agency
client information files with a particular emphasis on
the Education and Children's Services programs.

Completes a variety of computer and typing tasks
that may include correspondence, lists, forms,
tables, charts, and records. Proofreads, does
lay-out, and edits draft and final copy materials
for appropriate and consistent format, accuracy of
financial figures and other data, and correct
punctuation, spelling and grammar.

Ensures accuracy of financial figures and other
data.

Assists in collecting, entering and/or monitoring of
ECS program data, including applications,
enrollment, in-kind donations, meals and attendance,
and other participant information into the Child
Plus System and/or designated intake system.

Answers and ensures appropriate handling of incoming
telephone calls.

Assists in the distribution and preparation of
external and internal outgoing mail for the assigned
sites.

Performs other responsibilities and duties as
assigned by supervising staff.
EDUCATION:
This position requires knowledge equivalent to that
which normally would be acquired by completing a high
school education or its equivalent.
EXPERIENCE:
Between one and two years of progressively more
responsible or expansive experience, related to clerical
or office assistance, data entry, records, or data
management is required.
SALARY: $8.63/hour

OTHER
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: The ability to maintain
strict confidentiality. Excellent organizational skills
and ability to work out detailed data. Must be able to
work under pressure to meet critical
deadlines. Intermediate-level computer skills with
experience in the Agency's software programs (Microsoft
Windows, Outlook Word, Excel) required. Knowledge and experience of
the operation of a multi-line telephone system is
required. Must be able to maintain consistent and
regular attendance and punctuality based on designated
work schedule.
