POSITION:
Administrative Assistant
CLASSIFICATION: Regular, part time (10-20 hours/week M-F)
SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Human Resource Manager, The
Administrative Assistant will assist in the daily
functions of data tracking and data entry as well as
clerical tasks in the Human Resource Department. Assist
in projects to include: New Hire Orientation, FMLA,
COBRA, Worker's Compensation, Short and Long Term
Disability benefits and personnel files.

Provides exceptional level of customer service at
all levels of the organization.

Performs general clerical functions such as filing,
compiling data, creating forms and spreadsheets,
tracking data and copying to support the Human
Resource Manager.

Receives, maintains and logs in ChildPlus all
records of employee information such as new hire
paperwork, status change, education, licensing,
benefits, medical data and employee termination
information.

Maintains accurate and up-to-date
personnel/confidential/terminated employee files.

Responsible for working with others throughout the
organization to ensure timely and accurate
submission of required employee paperwork.

Assist in managing benefits administration to
include enrollments, terminations, COBRA, FMLA, STD
and LTD.

Prepares and files reports of accidents and
injuries. Processes Worker's Compensation claims and
maintains OSHA log.

Processes invoices, ensuring timely payment of
bills. Maintains payable folders for all HR bills.

Attends meetings and company events as required.

Develops employee rapport via visibility and
involvement at all locations.

Ensures consistent application and compliance with
organizational policies and state and federal
employment laws.

Must maintain high level of confidentiality at all
times.

Other duties as assigned by the Human Resource
Manager.
EDUCATION:
This
position requires a High School Diploma or G.E.D. and
education related to Human Resources, or business
administration is recommended. An A.A. degree in a
related field and prior HR experience is desired.
EXPERIENCE:
Two to three years
of progressively more responsible or expansive
experience is required. Knowledge and experience
directly in
the Human Resource field desired.
SALARY:
$10.00-$11.00/hour
OTHER
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Some knowledge of
management and human resources is desirable. The ability to maintain
satisfactory working relationships with the public,
departmental supervisors and staff. Excellent
organizational skills, detail oriented with excellent
follow through capabilities. Excellent oral and written
communication skills required. Must be able to work
under pressure to meet critical deadlines. Above average
ability to deal with multiple tasks, priorities and
deadlines. Intermediate to advanced-level computer
skills with experience in the Windows based software
programs. Broad experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
is required. Professionalism, sound judgment,
discretion, fast and efficient production and strong
organizational skills are required.. Must be able to maintain consistent and
regular attendance and punctuality based on designated
to work schedule.
