PROGRAM:                FOOD AND NUTRITIONAL SERVICES
LOCATION:                Branch County Dining Center
POSITION:                  Senior Center Supervisor

CLASSIFICATION: 
 Regular, Part-time (Mon-Wed-Thurs. 12:00-1:30, Tue, Fri. 1:30-3:00)

POSITION SUMMARY

Under general supervision of the Lead Food and Nutritional Services Manager, supervises meal receipt, storage and service; center activities that include socialization activities, planned and requested programs and general information and referral services for seniors.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

   All Sites

·         Prepares and maintains the center for use by seniors during meals and/or meetings, according to required health and safety standards.*

·         Supervises and participates in table and serving preparation, and related housekeeping duties in accordance with required health and safety standards.*

·         Assists in recruiting seniors as center participants through networking with currently participating clients.*

·         Conducts meal reservations procedures on an on-going basis.*

·         Orients, trains and supervises center volunteers.*

  •   Assists in the scheduling of programs for seniors upon request.*

·         Manages and records all financial contributions.*

·         Maintains accurate and comprehensive records concerning senior participation, volunteer involvement, meals, planned and requested programs and financial logs.* 

·         Submits reports to Lead Food and Nutritional Services Manager on a timely basis.*

Battle Creek, Coldwater and Homer Only

·         Arranges for programs of interest to be presented.*

          QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:  This position requires knowledge normally acquired through a general high school education or its equivalent.

EXPERIENCE:  Between  six months and one year of progressively more responsible or expansive experience is required.

 

SALARY: $7.40/hour

 

Must have satisfactory criminal background check, DMV screening, National Sex Offender Registry check and negative drug screen. TB testing conducted yearly.
